Cebu Visa Extension and Renewal

Cebu Visa Extension and Renewal

Free Pickup and Delivery

I will pick up your passport from your hotel/home, obtain the visa extension in Cebu and deliver it back to you either the same day or the next working day. Most travel agencies charge a similar fee to what I am charging, but you have to take it to them and then pick it up - sometimes up to 4 days later. Plus you don't really know who actually handles your ever important passport.

Fee Schedule

The basic fee for this service will be 700php plus the appropriate Cebu Bureau of Immigration fees for the extension or renewal.

For pick ups south of Colon there will be an additional P100 service charge as I live north of the city.

Receipts for the amount paid to Bureau of Immigration will be provided. See current fees here.

If you have more than one visa extension or renewal that needs processing, the charges will be on a reducing, sliding scale.

Remember you can renew a few days early and still get 59 days from the expiry date of your current visa.

So for 2 pick ups from the same address on the same day, the fee will be 600php each renewal.

3 passports 550php each. 4 passports 500php each.

New ImmigrationCharges

As of mid February 2010, the Bureau of Immigration has implemented a new schedule of charges, as they now require tourists who stay longer than 59 days to obtain an ACR card. This is a credit card sized, plastic card which contains all your passport/visa information. The cost is US$50 and is based on that day's exchange rate which is currently around 2300 pesos: you will also pay an additional 500 peso Express Lane charge. According to the official website the card is valid for one year but must be surrendered when leaving the country. So if you if you pay for a card on Monday, leave the Philippines on Tuesday and come back in on Wednesday, you will need to pay for another card after you have been here for 59 days! HOWEVER it now seems that visitors leaving the country are not being asked to surrender their temporary ACR cards and I have done a couple of renewals for people where the old card was accepted and there was no requirement to buy a new one. To the best of my knowledge the new policy is that if you leave the country for less than 59 days, you do not need to buy a new temporary ACR card if the old one is still current. Time will tell if this is the new policy or not.

While most of my clients are here on a temporary basis as tourists, I can also offer advice on obtaining permanent resident status with other visas such as the SRRV, the SVEG, quota visas or work visas.
